Tuesday's fun involved ice cream, a birthday party for Corduroy, and learning about photography from Dr. Van Vahle and Bob Fiala and researching the upcoming Plum Creek Children's Literacy Festival (not pictured).

Wednesday, we learned to make--and sampled--kolaches with Carol Niemann, made dreamcatchers and worm cake, and learned about frogs, as well as "getting a clue" with Nancy Drew (not pictured).

Thursday it was time to make ice cream pancakes and annoying noises,

and to make and fly paper airplanes while Leah Serck provided information about the authors coming to this fall's Plum Creek Children's Literacy Festival to an adult audience in the other room.

Friday's highlights were a concert by Mike Mennard, science experiments using edible ingredients, such as our favorite, cornstarch quicksand, and a poetry writing and reading workshop (not pictured).

Overall, it was a great week, and we thank all the families who participated, the volunteers who helped, and the special guest presenters who shared their expertise!
